Charanam

Paradevi niinu bhajiyinche,
Bhakthalanu broche pankajasani,
Vara veena paani vaag vilasini,
Harikesapura alankari Rani.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh Mother Saraswathi, please support me.

Anupallavi

Sister of enemy of Sambara,
Oh Goddess of lotus who has a conch like neck.

Charanam

Oh divine Goddess if you are sung about,
Oh Goddess who sits on a lotus,
You protect your devotees,
Oh goddess who has the divine Veena in her hand,
Oh Goddess with pretty speech, Oh queen who decorates Harikesapura.

Anadandambulu, pindandambulu,
Brahamulu modalu

2. Nadulu vanambulu, nana mrugamulu,
Vidhitha karmamulu, veda sastramulu

3. Dikkulunu, Aadhi seshadunu,
Ashta vasulanu ari shad vaRagam:ulunu

4. Dheerudu Bhadrachala Ramadasuni korikkalosagedi Taraka Namamu

English Translation

Pallavi

Everything is filled by Rama
The entire universe is filled with Rama

Anupallavi

When Athma Rama is on your inside,
He can assume any form and do anything.

Charanam

1. The sun, the moon the devas, the stars,
The great oceans, the entire universe,
The great galaxies and the globes,
Brahma and other celestials are filled with Rama

2. The rivers, the forests, the various animals,
The fated events and the Vedas are filled with Rama

3. The directions, the Adi Sesha,
The eight Vasus and the six evils* are pervaded by Rama
*Desire, anger, delusion, miserliness, pride, jealousy

4. This name is the one which fulfilled the desire of the courageous
Ramadasa of Bhadrachalam.

Wake up Oh Janaki Rama
Who is son in law of Janaka and protect me

Standing firm in Ayodhya,
You who like learned men,
who belongs to his devotees

Charanam

The light of his clan, who has a moon like face,
Who is greatly famous and sleeps on a snake,
And who has many good qualities,
Would you look after me?
Oh God who is my own father.

Sahajamuka Ahalya saapamu deerchi,
Mahudevuni chapamu mahasabha yo virichi,
Ta mahee thanaya che battina, harikesa eesa.

English Translation

Pallavi

Son of Kausalya, Our Rama with a lotus like face

Anupallavi

Worshipped by Indra and others,
The servant of the temple of the heart of Vasishta,
And the brother of Lakshmana, Bharatha and Shatrugna.

Charanam

After protecting the fire sacrifice of sage Kaushika,
Naturally you brought to an end the curse of Ahalya,
And in the great assembly broke the bow of Lord Shiva,
And married our mother who was the daughter of the king, Oh God of Hari Kesa.

English Translation

Pallavi

I cannot forget you God with pretty limbs

Anupallavi

Oh most merciful one who encourages Hari Dasas.

Charanam

Oh Garbhapurivasa, the Japas and Tapas are only acts to deceive,
And so pardon me, encourage me and now Oh Ranga, I believe you.

Sankari, sambhavi, Gauri, dushta chanda Munda,
Asura vairi, mangala dhayini, Mani Harikesapura rani,
Sankatamu teerchi brovu, sakala loka palini.

English Translation

Pallavi

I kept my faith in you, mother, great leader

Anupallavi

Are you not my own mother, take pity,
And come very quickly to protect me,
Oh mother who has lotus like eyes.

Charanam

Oh Sankari, Oh Sambhavi, Oh Gauri, the enemy,
Of Asuras called Chanda and Munda,
Oh giver of auspiciousness, Oh gem, Of queen of Harikesa,
Destroy my sorrow and protect me, Oh Goddess who protects all worlds.

Come, come, Oh God who holds the flute,
Oh Krishna who resides in Guruvayur.

Come, come Krishna, who carries Radha,
And has the mind of one who drank honey.

Charanam

Oh God who is similar to the pretty setting moon,
Oh Narayana, Oh Sridhara, Oh brother of Lalitha,
Oh God who lifted Govardhana,
Oh Krishna who is dancing with Lakshmi.

Parama krupa sagara vara suguna,

Hey Vinayaka, without you who is there to look after,
Hey King of removing obstacles

Are you not the protector of orphans,
Can you not encourage me and look after me

Charanam

He who has lotus like mien, he who is red. He who conducts eons,
He who always removes the sorrows of his devotees,
He who is the great ocean of mercy, He who blesses, He who is good,
Please protect every one, prays Gopaladasa.
