Pallavi

Kanavilum kamala khazhalinai thanaye
Kanivudan thudhikka varam arul thaye.

Anupallavi

Thanadu arivilladuyariya nilai perave,
Manamurugi isai malaralai thooviye

Charanam

Vana kuyil inamum, vanambadiyum unadu adi ninaindhe ullam pongiye,
Dinakaran thoondave daiva geethangal Ghana nayamudane ganam pozhivadu pol.

English Translation

Pallavi

Please give me boon mother to pray,
Even in my dream your lotus like feet.

Anupallavi

For getting the lofty state of selfless feeling,
Please make me offer you the flowers of music

Charanam

The clan of the koels of the sky and the nightingales,
Thinking about your feet and with emotions roused,
Similar to the raining of songs, sing the divine music,
Aroused by the Sun God, with expertise in music.

Kavlai yellam kalin diduvathu un,
Barame kamalisini vani paniyum Shivame

Anupallavi

Abalai endru arindum annaye neeye,
Adaravu alikkadiruppadum murayo.

Charanam

Avaniyile dinam alaindu tirinde thava palanal nin kazhalinai ninaindhum,
Evaridamum naan irandu nillamale uvakayudan un dayavu arulvaye.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh Goddess Parvathi, saluted by Lakshmi and Saraswathi,
The burden of removing all my worries is yours.

Anupallavi

Oh mother, having known that I am an orphan,
Is it proper for you not to support me.

Charanam

I was daily wandering and roaming in this world,
And due to past good acts, thinking about your feet,
And so with happiness shower your mercy so that,
I do not beg for anything from anybody.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh Lord Krishna who is with Radha

Anupallavi

Oh Son of Nanda, of stealer of butter,
Oh Govinda of Brindavan, Oh killer of Mura

Charanam

Oh stealer of the mind of Gopis,
Oh God who lived in Gokula,
Oh Lord who shines with the music on his flute,
Oh God who shines like billions of God of love.

Unadu adiye gathi endru adainthen thaye,
Unmai nee ariyayo, ulaga nayakiye

Anupallavi

Ponnayum pugazhayum poovayaraym thedi,
Chiinna thanam adaithu nithamum miga vadi

Charanam

Munname unnidam cholli vaithene,
Yenna vandalum nin ponnadi maraven,
Pannaga bhooshanan parivudan maruvm,
Minnal kodiyale, innalgal theerppaye.

English Translation

Pallavi

I reached you thinking that your feet is my only support, Mother
Don't you know this truth, Oh Goddess of the whole world.

Anupallavi

Searching for gold, fame and maidens,
When I became of small stature and wilted.

Charanam

Did I not tell you earlier that,
That come what may, I would never forget your golden feet,
Oh goddess who is caressed by the God who wears the snake with love,
Oh Goddess who is like a streak of lightning, please remove my sufferings.

Yen mana thamarai mel,
Ye thaye un malar thalinai
Vaithu aruluvaye

Anupallavi

Thunbam thudaithe thooya nilayile,
Inbamana un isaigal padave

Charanam

Than mayamakkum thava vazhi ariyen,
Dharmamum thyagamum chirudum theriyen,
Chinmaya roopini Shiva manonmani,
Varmamillamale vandu udava neeye.

English Translation

Pallavi

Please keep your flower like feet,
On my mind which is like lotus.

Anupallavi

For singing sweet melodies,
Please wipe away my sorrows in my pure form.

Charanam

I do not know the route of meditation,
Which leads me to the path of salvation,
I do not know even little charity and sacrifice,
Oh Goddess with divine form,
Oh darling of Lord Shiva,
For helping me without aversion you,
(Keep your flower like feet.)
