Inaye illa peruvazhvinai inaindhe arul tharuvai appa.

Chathur vedangal, om, om yena thuthi paadum param jyothiye,
Paada mamalar thozhuthen ayya, parinthe arul cheivai meyya.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh chief of Ganas oh giver of good, Oh big elephant faced one, you are my only support

Anupallavi

Oh dear Sir, Give me the incomparable great life along with good life now

Charanam

Oh divine light to which the Vedas sing in prayer Om, Om,
I saluted your great flower like feet and so take pity on me and shower your grace.

Malai magal aruliya sakthivel murugan,

Kannudar kadavulin kan maniyay vandan,
Karthigai pendirgal anaippil valarndhan,
Vinnavar kurai yellam nodiyil kalaindhan,
Venduvor vendum mun varamellam handhaan.

English Translation

Pallavi

The God who blesses in the kali age, appears as,
The God that you can see in Pazhani.

Anupallavi

The Muruga with Shakthi Vel, born to the daughter of mountain,
The nephew of Lord Vishnu, who is of the colour of emerald.

Charanam

He came as the darling of the God with three eyes,
He grew up under the care of Karthigai maidens,
Within no time he solved the problems of devas,
Even before the people asked for boons, he gave them.

He who is of the blue black colour of the cloud

Charanam

With the little finger that thieved the round butter kept in Uri,
The Hari, the Madhava, the one who has Lakshmi on his chest lifted the mountain.

Ariyathu naan seytha pizhayaal nee veruthaayo,
Anbe vadivai konda azhagaa chinanthaayo,
Chiriyen yen kurai yellam poruthe arul seivai,
Chendhil maa nagar vazhum devathi devane.

English Translation

Pallavi

If I call Muruga, Muruga, would not your mind melt,
If I call you, please come, come, won’t you come along with mercy.

Anupallavi

Even if I tell only once, Even if I think of your feet,
Oh Kandha who showers your grace,
If day and night I call you

Charanam

Have you started hating me by the mistake I did without intention,
Oh pretty one who has only love, are you angry,
Please pardon the mistakes of this lowly one and shower your grace,
Oh God of Gods who lives in the great Thiruchendhur.

English Translation

Is there anything that cannot be done when you want it,
Oh Maha Lakshmi, who has lotus like eyes.

Is it not because of you that pleasure and pain,
Comes In the life of humans as predetermined.

1. Even if we have all the fames in this world,
Will they stick on without saluting your feet

2. What is the way to live in this world,

Oh God with Vel of the south Pazhani,
Oh god who stood as the lighted lamp in my mind forever
Oh teacher of Lord Shiva who wanders in my mind.

That Lord Parameswara gave.

A baby god, A God who is a lad.

Annai Kamakshi pola anbe vadivai vanthaar,
Amuthu oorum yeliya sollaal aru marai yellam thanthaar,
Thannai maranthu, athuve than aagum thava venthar,
Charanam aravindam athil thanjam pugunthida.

English Translation

Pallavi

Have I done billions of good deeds,
For getting the blessings of Kamakoti Acharya,
Whom I respect.

Anupallavi

He made me his by showing mercy in his eyes,
By Showing his hand with symbol of protection,
And increasing innumerable pleasures for me.

Charanam

He came as a personification of love like Mother Kamakshi,
By using his nectar like words, he gave me all the blessed Vedas,
By Forgetting himself and becoming that only
and I surrendered to the lotus like feet of the king of saints.

Kamadhenu vanangum karuna roopini,
Kan oliyaal karunai kattum dayapari,
Sama gana magizh sada siva param,
Yenum thani marunthu udayai, pini yellam kalaivai.

Oh Mother Tripura Sundari, Oh great goddess Uma,
Oh black one, oh pretty one, I surrender at your feet.

Anupallavi

She who is in Thiruvanmiyur whose fame never diminishes,
Goddess whose speech is like honey and who has created all the universe.

Charanam

The form of mercy who is being saluted by Kamadhenu,
The merciful one who shows mercy by the light of her eye,
She who has the medicine called Sadashiva,
And she who enjoys Sama Gana, Please remove all my ills.
