Paada mamalar thozhuthen ayya, parinthe arul cheivai meyya.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh chief of Ganas oh giver of good, Oh big elephant faced one, you are my only support

Anupallavi

Oh dear Sir, Give me the incomparable great life along with good life now

Charanam

Oh divine light to which the Vedas sing in prayer Om, Om,
I saluted your great flower like feet and so take pity on me and shower your grace.

Karthigai pendirgal anaippil valarndhan,
Vinnavar kurai yellam nodiyil kalaindhan,
Venduvor vendum mun varamellam handhaan.

English Translation

Pallavi

The God who blesses in the kali age, appears as,
The God that you can see in Pazhani.

Anupallavi

The Muruga with Shakthi Vel, born to the daughter of mountain,
The nephew of Lord Vishnu, who is of the colour of emerald.

Charanam

He came as the darling of the God with three eyes,
He grew up under the care of Karthigai maidens,

Anbe vadivai konda azhagaa chinanthaayo,
Chiriyen yen kurai yellam poruthe arul seivai,
Chendhil maa nagar vazhum devathi devane.

If I call Muruga, Muruga, would not your mind melt,
If I call you, please come, come, won’t you come along with mercy.

Even if I tell only once, Even if I think of your feet,
Oh Kandha who showers your grace,
If day and night I call you

Have you started hating me by the mistake I did without intention,
Oh pretty one who has only love, are you angry,
Please pardon the mistakes of this lowly one and shower your grace,
